Everyone wants to have a toned slim midsection. However, doing hundreds of crunches everyday is both time consuming and boring. Thankfully there are ways that you can tone your abs without resorting to hundreds of crunches everyday.
Performing planks is a good exercise for the abs, which does not involve crunches. The way to execute a plank is simply to get your body in the position it would be in if you were about to do a push up. In other words arms straight legs straight and body in a hard line. Your body weight will be distributed between your arms and legs. Instead of bending your elbows and going into a pushup remain at the top in this form. This is called a plank. If you hold this position you will immediately start feeling it work your abs, repeating this exercise daily will give you results.
Flex your stomach muscles:
When working out or while doing anything for that matter, flex your abdominal muscles. This continued work of the abdominal muscles will eventually make the abs stronger and give them a flatter appearance.
Everyone hates doing crunches and they really are not necessary to obtain flat abs, using the two suggestions above you can successfully flatten abs without ever performing a crunch.
